Center Parcs partners with Kitt Medical to rollout anaphylaxis emergency kits across its UK villages
18 Anaphylaxis Kitts have been installed across Center Parcs’ five UK villages, supporting the company’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity and preparedness for medical emergencies.
To mark its new partnership with Kitt Medical, Center Parcs welcomed entrepreneur and Dragons’ Den investor Deborah Meaden to Woburn Forest, to unveil the rollout of emergency ‘Anaphylaxis Kitts’ across its UK villages.
Deborah, who invested in UK startup Kitt Medical during an episode of Dragons’ Den, was joined by the company’s founders Zak Marks & James Cohen as they toured the village to see the Kitts being installed and met with Center Parcs colleagues who have completed specialist training through Kitt Medical.
Each Anaphylaxis Kitt contains adrenaline auto-injectors (commonly known by brand names ‘Jext’ or ‘EpiPen’) and clear instructions for use. The Kitts are intended for use by trained colleagues in the event of a severe allergic reaction, providing a readily accessible resource should an emergency occur.
Around 1,000 colleagues have completed specialist training covering allergy awareness, recognising the signs of anaphylaxis, and the correct administration of adrenaline, ensuring they can respond calmly and appropriately should an emergency occur.
Anna Winton, Group Occupational Health Manager, said:
“Across our villages, it’s important that our teams feel confident and supported to respond effectively to medical emergencies. Introducing Anaphylaxis Kitts is a proactive step that ensures our colleagues have access to the right equipment and training should they need it. We’ve worked closely with Kitt Medical to equip our teams with the appropriate tools and knowledge, reinforcing our commitment to a well-prepared and supported workforce.”
Zak Marks, Founder of Kitt Medical, said:
“As a young startup aiming to create a new standard for allergy care, it’s incredible to be launching our Anaphylaxis Kitts across Center Parcs many iconic villages. This means a lot to us, and to the entire allergy community.”
