Elaine had no known allergies until she consumed a ginger beer at home one evening and began experiencing anaphylaxis. She desperately called Jason, the estate manager at their school, who drove over with a Kitt and saved her life.

Adrenaline needs to be made more accessible.

The number of adrenaline pen prescriptions has increased by over 300% in the last 20 years* - but studies have found that most people at risk of severe allergic reactions do not have adrenaline pens.

  • People can forget their adrenaline pens, often expiring before they’re replaced.

  • In some cases, people develop new allergies and only find this out when they experience their first allergic reaction.

  • Severe anaphylactic reactions can require multiple doses of adrenaline to treat symptoms properly.

Our goal is to have Anaphylaxis Kitts installed in schools and qualifying businesses all across the UK, similar to defibrillators. They can be accessed by trained staff for use in emergencies to treat life-threatening allergic reactions, whenever and wherever they occur.

"A third of people in England who have experienced a severe allergic reaction to food are not carrying live-saving adrenaline pens, analysis shows". The study was conducted between 2008 and 2018 and published in the journal The Lancet Public Health (Source: The Independent).

Our history of treating life-threatening reactions

  • July 12th, 2023

    A young dance student had a severe allergic reaction to a snack bar and couldn't find her adrenaline pens. Thankfully the school hosting the class had a Kitt installed, which was used to save her life.

  • December 6th, 2023

    A school teacher experienced idiopathic anaphylactic symptoms on her way to school. She used her adrenaline pen, but her condition worsened and two more pens from the school’s Kitt were used by the nurse to treat her.

  • July 17th, 2024

    A woman with no-known allergies drank a ginger beer late at home one night, and began to struggle to breathe. The Kitt installed at the nearby school was driven over to her home and used to save her life.

  • September 10th, 2024

    A 15-year-old school boy experienced airborne anaphylaxis to peanuts on a school bus, and his adrenaline pen was the wrong dose. He was rushed to school and treated by the on-site Anaphylaxis Kitt.

  • September 20th, 2024

    A young boy experienced a severe allergic reaction at a school open evening after eating something they weren’t aware contained any allergens. The school’s Kitt was used to treat them.

  • September 25th, 2024

    An outdoor education teacher developed a life-threatening allergic response when stung by 20 bees, even though she had no-known allergies and had been stung before without issue. She was treated by adrenaline from the nearby Anaphylaxis Kitt.

  • October 16th, 2024

    A teenage student had a surprise allergic reaction after running 5k around the school fields and the school’s Kitt was used to treat them. They had been prescribed adrenaline pens but had never needed them so didn’t carry them.

  • November 15th, 2024

    A 3-year-old child had their first allergic reaction whilst at nursery. They had not been prescribed adrenaline pens so the on-site Anaphylaxis Kitt was used to treat them.
