“It’s a no-brainer”

Find out why Anaphylaxis Kitts should be a key part of the health, safety, and safeguarding policies at your school.

Anaphylaxis happens more in school than in any other setting outside the home in the UK.

On average, 1 to 2 children in every UK school classroom live with an allergy.

In 2018, almost 8,000 deaths across the UK mentioned anaphylaxis on their death certificate.

And whilst schools regularly put in place ‘no nut policies’, 26% of food allergy deaths in school-aged children are caused by cows milk allergy.

But here’s a wake-up call: 1 in 3 UK schools DON'T have an allergy policy in place, including proper training for staff, and most don’t keep a spare set of adrenaline pens in case of emergency.

"In schools, 30% of allergic reactions take place in children with no diagnosed history of allergy. It’s therefore not always possible to rely on a child’s own adrenaline pen. It is now recognised that delays in administering adrenaline arising from problems accessing the child’s AAI device can lead to fatalities."

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We know that adrenaline pens can be quite hard to source, and that often they have very short shelf lives.

That’s why we’re so excited that we can offer an all-in-one service, giving you guaranteed long-life adrenaline pens, automatically replenished before they expire, and easily stored in our accessible wall-mounted Kitts (rather than a locked cupboard somewhere in your school). We also replenish any pens that are used at no extra cost if you report an incident on our Portal.

Many schools face issues with training as it’s often costly (in both time and money) to organise, and often staff don’t even turn up to do it.

That’s why we include unlimited CPD-accredited Anaphylaxis Kitt training right into the subscription package, with 30 minutes of instantly accessible, easily digestible videos on allergy and anaphylaxis followed by quiz questions. Also, through our Kitt Portal, you can track who’s completed the training (and who hasn’t), making it easy to audit.

Overall, hundreds of schools across the UK consistently call us a ‘no-brainer’ - find out why by signing up with our service today.

  • We've seen a few organisations, PTA groups, and individuals raise funding for Kitts in their local schools.

Some amazing examples of this include:

Please keep in mind that multiple years' worth of funding needs to be secured as our Kitts come as an annual subscription contract to ensure the adrenaline pens (& training) are consistently supplied.
