Inspirational 4-year-old Scottish boy raises funds for Anaphylaxis Kitt at his school

In case you haven’t already seen this wonderful story across all our social media pages (or in the local press)… Finn, a four-year-old boy who lives with severe allergies, raised funds through a sponsored bike ride to get his local school an Anaphylaxis Kitt!

A Personal Mission

Finn lives with severe allergies to peanuts, sesame seeds, milk, eggs, lentils and peas. All these allergens can prompt life-threatening reactions if not promptly treated, usually requiring an immediate injection of epinephrine and subsequent medical attention. Recognizing the potential risks for others with similar conditions, Finn and his family were determined to make a difference.

Finn’s mum Carrie got in touch with us to find out more about our mission. Resonating with the struggles of finding and keeping adrenaline pens, and wanting to create more awareness for allergies in their area, Carrie was keen to get Kitts into her son Finn’s school - however, with school funding tied up, they decided to raise the money themselves!

Harnessing his community spirit and a sense of responsibility, Finn decided to embark on a cycling fundraising mission. He aimed to raise enough money to provide one of our Anaphylaxis Kitts, containing four adrenaline pens on subscription, combined with online CPD training, for his local school.

Carrie set up a JustGiving page online, and immediatley the response from the community was overwhelmingly positive - raising £3,000 in a short space of time!

Timmergreens was not only able to purchase the Kitt, but guaranteed a 5-year subscription - meaning they don’t have to worry about the expiry of the pens or losing access to training as it’s all automatically maintained by signing up to our service!

Inspiring Others

Thanks to Finn’s initiative, the community now has access to an Anaphylaxis Kitt, potentially saving lives in emergencies. His efforts have not only provided a vital resource but have also raised awareness about severe allergies and the need for preparedness - so much so that the local press got in touch and covered the story!

Finn’s story is a powerful reminder of how one person's determination can lead to significant positive changes. His actions have inspired many in Arbroath and beyond, demonstrating that age is no barrier to making a meaningful impact. Finn's successful campaign serves as a beacon of hope and an example of proactive community engagement.
