‘Understanding Allergies’ School Presentation
This morning was a big moment for me 🙌🏻
We were invited to speak about Kitt Medical at a meeting for Luton Council Schools Finance, Administrators and Bursars Group.
This was the second talk we’d given of this kind, where we provide context on allergy and anaphylaxis in an educational way to help inform schools about the potential risks they can pose, as well as what they can do to help mitigate those risks.
This opportunity just so happened to coincide with another which we were already booked in for - The Schools & Academies Show - a key day for us to present our Anaphylaxis Kitts to academy heads from all across the nation!
This meant that for the first time ever, we split as a team - and I presented alone 👀
This might not be a big deal to many of you - but as someone new to public speaking (who tends to feels excitement and terror in equal parts) this presented a huge comfort-zone-breaking opportunity.
Safe to say the presentation went off without a hitch, with many of the attendees telling me that the information and case studies I presented about allergies in school really resonated with them, and that they would be following up to enquire about getting Kitts in their school!
Now I’m looking forward to doing more talks in the future - and wishing James, Simon and Jonny good luck up in Birmingham!
